Success at the WMO World Championships in Nov 2019 for our Kyalami Karate students

Some of our students competed at the WMO World Championships in Nov 2019, as part of the SA Team.

Our members did exceptionally well and our medal tally was:
– Bryce Hornby (Silver for Forms, a Bronze for Fighting and Gold as part of the Jnr Male Forms team)
– Thomas Parry (Bronze for Forms and Gold as part of the Jnr Male Forms team)
– Demira Naran (Gold for Forms and Silver as part of the Mixed Female Forms team).
– Mari du Preez (Silver for Forms and Silver as part of the Mixed Female Forms team)

As usual we worked hard AND had fun!

Congratulations to our students who participated and placed at the 12th Derrick Geyer Memorial Championships, 17 Mar 2018.

The selection criteria were as follows:
– Gold medalists were selected who placed in the Emerald League divisions.
– Gold and silver medalists were selected who placed in the Ruby League divisions.
– Gold, silver and bronze medalists were selected who placed in the Sapphire League divisions.
